Technical visit to the vineyard

You will be able to immerse yourself in the world of wine and enjoy it from its conception. During this technical visit through the vineyards, you will learn all about the terroir and the work of the winemakers. With landscapes surrounded by nature and the best views of the Andes Mountains, we will visit some of the most beautiful wineries in Mendoza.

A little more than twenty minutes from the city center, we will learn about the work that is done in the vineyards at any time of the year. Depending on the season we visit, we will be able to observe some of the cultivation techniques and the work and dedication of the winemakers during each stage.

For this excursion we have selected some wineries of the outstanding “first wine region”, better known as “the cradle of Malbec”. We will be able to understand the agro-climatic factors that influence wine making and learn about the different varieties of vines and their pruning techniques. The agronomist will show us the irrigation system they use and how the characteristics of the soil and altitude determine the structure and flavor of each label. We will also hear some history of the winery and its vineyards and if the time of the year allows it, we will be able to participate in the grape harvest, harvesting with our hands the bunches of grapes that will later become wine. 

Accompanied by our sommelier, we will taste the wines directly from tank and barrel, where we will finally confirm how the management of the vineyards affects the final characteristics of the wine. We will finish this exclusive visit celebrating with a tasting, which we will accompany with delicious lunch.

In this outing you will learn all the secrets of the elaboration of the different varietals of the region, because the best wine is born in the vineyards.
