Rafting + Trekking + Rappel en Potrerillos

In this experience you will be able to feel the current and energy of the majestic melt waters with the Rafting on the Mendoza River combined with all the beauty of trekking through the mountain trails.

A little more than forty-five minutes from the city, in the heart of Potrerillos, is the base of operations. Here our expert guides will be anxiously waiting for us to live this mixed challenge that fuses the most amusing rapids of Rafting and the most picturesque ascending trails.

The first thing to do will be to take the necessary equipment for Rafting, we have neoprene suits, boots, polar fleeces, raincoats, life jackets, helmets and paddles. Then we will learn the indications of the guides, who will teach us paddling techniques and everything related to safety. The waters in which we will navigate are known for their intensity and great sedimentation, which guarantees an extreme adventure in a class III+ river.

Once in the boats, we will be able to feel the real connection with this unique natural environment. During the tour, we will see magical places, full of legends. The rock waterfall, the labyrinth, the camel’s hump and the condor’s nest are some of the sites that will make you feel all the fun.

The second part of the day awaits us with a brief introduction to trekking on the mountain trails. We will receive a safety talk and learn about the specific objectives of the activity. It is important to go slowly in order to enjoy the scenery; take it easy and never stop hydrating.

We will discover water springs, we will see different species of native fauna such as black eagles, condors and foxes. We will also learn about the local vegetation and its properties, among them the jarilla, our provincial flower. We will connect with nature and with ourselves. After 2 hours of hiking and admiring the best landscapes, we will start our way back.

This combined tour has everything for the enjoyment of those who are looking for pure fun in a unique natural environment. The most fun of the water with the cleanest of the mountain air, will take you to connect with the deepest of the adventurous spirit.

After this experience the energy of the mountain will run through your veins.

At SAK Wine & Travel, we design each experience in harmony with nature and local communities. We want our travelers to return home feeling that change has begun and that travel is a powerful opportunity to help build a better world. By traveling with us, you are helping to protect Mendoza’s water.

What do you need for this tour?

Essential items

We suggest you to bring these items for personal use to make your excursion perfect:

– Small backpack.

– Extra mineral water.

– Personal care items (lip balm with sunscreen, sunscreen SPF50, antibacterial gel/wipes, insect repellent).

– Special clothing: hat or cap, sunglasses, comfortable and warm clothing (fleece/sweater, windbreaker), appropriate footwear for the activity.

Note: The best clothing for mountain activities is wool or synthetic materials in layers, as they dry quickly and keep warmth better. We suggest a base layer, then an intermediate layer, such as a light fleece coat or similar, and then a windproof and waterproof layer.
