Frequently Asked Questions About Bike Tours in Mendoza

Our bike tours cover a wide range of fitness levels, so there is a genuinely right option for everyone. The wine bike tours through Chacras de Coria follow flat, manageable routes through vineyard lanes and tree-lined streets — ideal for beginners, families, and anyone who prefers a relaxed pedaling pace between tastings. The Kids Friendly version is specifically designed so that adults and children can both enjoy the experience comfortably. Our guides always read the group and adapt the pace accordingly — no one gets left behind.

Yes — every SAK bike tour includes well-maintained bikes and helmets. All the technical equipment you need to ride safely and comfortably is provided. Just bring comfortable athletic clothing, sunscreen, sunglasses, and closed-toe shoes. Mendoza has over 300 days of sunshine a year, so sun protection is genuinely essential — we will remind you when you book.

Absolutely. As a local operator, private and customized cycling experiences are one of our specialties — for couples, families, corporate groups, and solo travelers alike. A private format means your own guide, your own schedule, and the freedom to shape the day: choose your winery stops, extend a tasting, add a gourmet lunch, or combine cycling with another activity. Our Bicycle Ride Through Vineyards and Kids Friendly options are available as private experiences. Reach out via WhatsApp or email and we will design the itinerary together.

Mendoza is a genuine year-round cycling destination — one of the few in South America. The two standout seasons are autumn (March to May), when harvest is underway in the vineyards, temperatures are mild, and the vine colors are extraordinary; and spring (September to November), when the vines are in bloom and the Andes backdrop is at its most dramatic. Summer (December to February) is hot but very manageable with morning departures, which is how we schedule most full-day rides. Winter (June to August) is clear and cool. Whatever month you are visiting, there is a bike tour that makes sense for the season.

Duration varies by tour. Wine bike rides to 2 wineries run approximately 4 to 5 hours; the full 3-winery experience extends to around 5 to 7 hours depending on category. For families, we offer a dedicated Kids Friendly cycling experience at a curated winery — roughly 6 hours including activities, tasting for adults, interactive programs for kids, and lunch. Private bookings can adjust duration to suit your group.
