Family Vacation in Mendoza | 4-Day Package for children from 0 to 5 years old

Are you planning to travel with your family? Surely you are wondering what can I do with children from 0 to 5 years old on my trip to Mendoza? At SAK Wine & Travel we have created this itinerary specially designed to combine entertainment and fun in a family trip with your children. In addition, you will be able to visit wineries and taste exquisite wines while the little ones enjoy children’s activities!

Day 1 – Welcome to Mendoza

Upon arrival in Mendoza, our team will be waiting for you at the bus station or airport and will transfer you to your selected hotel.

Full day at a local farm in Maipú

A day at the farm offers a unique experience for children, especially when experienced as a family. In the Maipú area you will find the educational farm Don Pepe, the trip is short and entertaining. Upon arrival we will begin to enjoy the contact with the animals. The children will guide us on the tour that they themselves want to do according to their interest, they will learn about each animal and they will be able to feed them with their own hands. In addition, the hosts will tell us about the local culture and the practices and traditions that are still in force today. Later we will enjoy an excellent homemade meal with a special menu for the children and we can relax under the shade of the trees while the children have fun in the playground or learn how to germinate their own plant.

Day 2 – Winery Visit and Cooking Class in Luján de Cuyo

On the second day we will have a fun excursion with a family cooking class, where the creativity of the little ones will have free rein. We will pick everyone up in the morning and head to an outstanding winery in Mendoza. Upon arrival, while the adults tour the facilities and taste exquisite wines, the kids will enjoy children’s activities in the gardens. Later, we will visit the winery’s organic vegetable garden as a family to harvest fresh ingredients to take back to the kitchen. With aprons on, we will delve into Argentine cuisine where imagination, fun and laughter will be the essential condiments to taste the dishes created.

Day 3 – Art and Gastronomy in Mendoza

In the morning, our guide will take you to a special atelier in Mendoza, where a local artist will be waiting for you. Here both children and adults will learn about art in Mendoza and the inspiration behind the works of prominent Mendoza personalities. The little ones will have the opportunity to create their own art piece and learn about different painting and sculpture techniques. Later, we will head to the Luján de Cuyo region to enjoy a regional lunch paired with excellent wines and a special menu for the kids.

Day 4 – Farewell to Mendoza. End of Family Vacation Mendozation. 

Depending on the scheduled departure time, we will transfer you to the airport or bus station and say goodbye to this unforgettable family experience.

Essential items

We suggest you to bring these items for personal use to make your excursion perfect:

– Small backpack.

– Extra mineral water.

– Personal care items (lip balm with sunscreen, sunscreen SPF50, antibacterial gel/wipes, insect repellent).

– Special clothing: cap or hat, sunglasses, comfortable and warm clothing (fleece/sweater, windbreaker), footwear appropriate for the activity.

Note: The best clothing for mountain activities is wool or synthetic materials in layers, as they dry quickly and keep warmth better. We suggest a base layer, then an intermediate layer, such as a light fleece coat or similar, and then a windproof and waterproof layer.
