Come and harvest! Vendimia tour in Mendoza wineries

The world of wine allows us to enjoy it from all aspects. During the Harvest in Mendoza there is a party in every winery, in every corner of the province. In this experience you will be able to connect with the most intimate part of the fruit of the vine as well as get to know and participate in the work with the winemakers. 

Live the harvest from the inside during the months of February to April, and enjoy a unique moment picking grapes in the vineyards of Luján de Cuyo and Maipú, will be possible in this outing through the first outstanding wine region of the country.

A little more than twenty minutes from downtown Mendoza, an exclusive winery with its “school vine” awaits us to enjoy this experience and its different traditions inherited from the immigrants who started this exciting work.

Early in the morning, a private vehicle from Sak will pick us up from our lodging to take us to the selected winery. Here our experienced guides will give us the necessary equipment to harvest the grapes. Pruning shears, apron and box will be our companions during this traditional task. We will learn about the history of the vineyards, the specific characteristics of the grapes and the different ways of harvesting.  

While we live this experience, we will be able to taste some of the grapes from previous years, which will make us aware of the importance of this ritual. We will learn all about manual harvesting, how to recognize the optimum ripeness of the grapes, the correct transfer to the sorting belt and the ideal conditions for their treatment. 

As we fill our crate, we will be able to savor the effort of the work done with love, feel the clusters with our hands, which will give this outing the artisanal touch to connect us with the wine from the deepest part.  

Finally, we will be able to celebrate the work done with a tasting of exclusive varietals, which we will accompany with a typical Creole lunch. Undoubtedly, combining the effort of work with the flavors of our land, make the tour an original outing that will leave a mark on those who treat themselves to this contact with nature.
