Villavicencio Natural Reserve private tour
Villavicencio preserves the essence of our flora and fauna. In this nature tour we invite you to live an unforgettable experience doing outdoor activities while we are in contact with wildlife, history and the charm of this wonderful place.
At 50 kilometers from the city of Mendoza we will find a historic site surrounded by vegetation and native animals. This protected area is located in the foothills of the Andes, where we will enjoy unique landscapes surrounding an iconic hotel of our culture.
Our driver will pick you up early in the morning at your accommodation. We will start this exclusive nature tour with the company of an experienced guide. He will provide you with accurate information throughout the tour and will be at your disposal to live the best SAK experience.
We will head towards the foothills. In less than an hour we will arrive at the Villavicencio Natural Reserve, declared a protected area in 2000, to experience an ecological balance. This place is the habitat of diverse species of flora and fauna, protected and conserved, such as the “guanaco” and the “cóndor”. We will also find “jarilla”, the provincial flower, a typical plant of our area.
At the entrance we will take the necessary time to know all the attractions and enjoy this incredible natural space. We will see the emblematic Villavicencio Hotel, an old inn with alpine architecture that today is being restored, and we will walk through the gardens and terraces of this National Historic Monument. As we walk our guide will explain the importance of the wetlands, millenary formations that are key to the biodiversity of the area, and we will learn how to protect them.
After discovering every corner of the gardens we will continue up the path of 365 curves, known for its snails and its beauty. Along the way we will observe animals that are part of a typical landscape of Mendoza and when we reach the natural viewpoint we will stop to enjoy the breathtaking view of the Andes Mountains and its snow-capped peaks.
At the end of the tour, we will return to our hotel conscious of the fact that we are part of a living ecosystem. We will learn the values of conservation to protect the region and the work of sustainability that is being done to take care of this natural lung near the city and so important for the environment.
At Sak we are committed to caring for our planet. We are carrying out actions to protect the wetlands and it is important that you know what they are. Ask your guide to learn how you can make a big contribution with small changes.
Our trips are designed so that when you return home you feel that something has changed and we know that sustainable tourism is the way to achieve it. In SAK Wine & Travel we contribute to the Sustainable Development Goal Nº 6: Water, a fundamental resource for Mendoza.
