Private tour to Villavicencio Natural Reserve with return trip through Uspallata and Potrerillos with lunch
Villavicencio preserves the essence of our flora and fauna in the Andes Mountains, together with the majesty of the mountains. In this nature tour we invite you to live an unforgettable experience doing activities in contact with wildlife, history and the charm of wonderful places.
50 kilometers from the city of Mendoza we will find a historic site surrounded by vegetation and native animals. This protected area is located in the foothills of the Andes, then we will follow the road that leads us to the Cordillera and its eternal snow peaks.
We will pick you up early in the morning at your accommodation. We will start this exclusive nature tour with the company of an experienced guide who will make you live the best SAK experience. In less than an hour we will arrive at the Villavicencio Natural Reserve, declared a protected area in 2000. This place is the habitat of diverse species of flora and fauna such as the “guanaco“, the “cóndor” and the “jarilla”, our provincial flower.
At the entrance we will take the necessary time to know all the attractions and enjoy this incredible natural space. We will see the emblematic Villavicencio Hotel, a national historic monument, and walk through its gardens and terraces. As we walk our guide will explain the importance of the wetlands, millenary formations that are key to the biodiversity of the area, and we will learn how to protect them.
We will continue up the 365 curves road, known for its snails and the beauty of the landscape. We will arrive at the natural viewpoint to enjoy the breathtaking view of the Andes Mountains and continue to the Paramillo Mines and the Mining Geopark.
There we will be able to explore this historical site and discover the old tunnels. The dirt road will lead us between mountains and snow-capped peaks to Uspallata, an Andean town and meeting point for thousands of tourists. There we will enjoy a delicious lunch.
Following the international route we will return along the Mendoza River. Between curves and sheds we will enjoy the scenery, the colors and the mountain aromas.
At the end we will return to the city aware that we are part of a living ecosystem. We will learn the values of conservation to protect the region and the importance of sustainable tourism to respect the destination we visit.
At Sak we are committed to the care of our planet. We are taking actions to protect the wetlands and it is important that you know what they are. Ask the guide to learn how to make a big contribution with small changes.
At SAK Wine & Travel we want our trips to be a transforming experience for those who visit us and we know that sustainable tourism is the tool to achieve it. That is why in every excursion you do with us you are contributing to the care of Mendoza’s water.
