Rancho Viejo Horseback Riding
The best views of the Andes mountain range can be appreciated in this horseback ride in Rancho Viejo. An ideal excursion to leave behind the noise of the city and be part of Mendoza’s landscapes.
In a private vehicle just for you and your travel companions we will get to Maipú, the first wine region of Mendoza. In this circuit through Lunlunta, we will visit the “ranch” located in a privileged area. It consists of a farm with more than 100 hectares. We will be able to ride on horseback through the different fields and its vineyards, olive groves, fruit and vegetable plantations.
Our tour will start very early in the morning to get to “Rancho Viejo” where all the equipment will be waiting for us and the best guide of our specialized “baqueanos”.
In this outing we will be able to connect with Malbec and Cabernet plantations, as well as with the traditions and customs of the people. After a brief tour through the vineyards, the horseback ride will take the trails that border the Mendoza River, which will take us to the foot of the foothills, to appreciate the different peaks of the mountain range known as “El Cordón del Plata”.
This experience is designed as an exclusive activity for the whole family, where we can find harmony with nature and wildlife. Everything that an engine and a horsepower can give us. Get ready to reach places where no machine can take you.
Mendoza is a desert and water is a vital resource for its productive development, that is why in SAK Wine & Travel we contribute with its care and good use in every trip we plan. We know that sustainable tourism is the way to build a better world, respectful of people and their environment. By traveling with us you are joining our sustainable philosophy.

What do you need for this tour?
Essential items
We suggest you to bring these items for personal use to make your excursion perfect:
– Small backpack.
– Extra mineral water.
– Personal care items (lip balm with sunscreen, sunscreen SPF50, antibacterial gel/wipes, insect repellent).
– Special clothing: hat or cap, sunglasses, comfortable and warm clothing (fleece/sweater, windbreaker), appropriate footwear for the activity.
Note: The best clothing for mountain activities is wool or synthetic materials in layers, as they dry quickly and keep warmth better. We suggest a base layer, then an intermediate layer, such as a light fleece coat or similar, and then a windproof and waterproof layer.
