We invite you to an afternoon of natural energy, where tranquility will be the best company. Combining mountains, sun, blue sky and the sound of water, with a sailboat ride, is the activity you need to love Mendoza for good. And if we finish this excursion with a gourmet picnic of Mendoza flavors, the experience becomes fascinating!
Potrerillos Lake is located 60 km from Mendoza City, approximately 45 minutes by car and its beauty dazzles travelers. With this tour we invite you to navigate its waters accompanied by sailing experts and all the necessary safety protocols to have an unforgettable day. During the tour we will share a technical talk where you will learn about this activity that more than one falls in love with. You will also be able to perform basic navigation maneuvers, learn about the history of the place and practice bird watching, observing the species that inhabit the Andes.
At the end of the tour we will be waiting for you with a delicious snack with regional delicacies and a glass of wine or sparkling wine to toast the shared experience. We will also enjoy the sunset on the mountain, a memory that you will keep forever.
At SAK Wine & Travel we want our trips to generate the least possible negative impact on the communities that inhabit Mendoza and its surroundings. Through different actions we contribute to the care of water, a fundamental resource for our province. This sailing excursion on the lake is one of our favorites, since it does not use an engine or fuel, the sailboat is an ecological vessel that adds to our sustainable philosophy.
What do you need for this tour?
Essential items
We suggest you to bring these items for personal use to make your excursion perfect:
– Small backpack.
– Extra mineral water.
– Personal care items (lip balm with sunscreen, sunscreen SPF50, antibacterial gel/wipes, insect repellent).
– Special clothing: hat or cap, sunglasses, comfortable and warm clothing (fleece/sweater, windbreaker), appropriate footwear for the activity.
Note: The best clothing for mountain activities is wool or synthetic materials in layers, as they dry quickly and keep warmth better. We suggest a base layer, then an intermediate layer, such as a light fleece coat or similar, and then a windproof and waterproof layer.
