Stand up paddle in Mendoza. Relax in the lake
The Stand Up Paddle (SUP) experience at Potrerillos Dam is a unique opportunity for those seeking relaxation and a connection with nature. After a drive along Route 7 and a visit to the picturesque town of Cacheuta, we arrive at the Potrerillos base of operations. There, our guides provide all the necessary equipment and teach us the techniques to balance and paddle on the tranquil waters of the dam. For almost two hours, we enjoy breathtaking views of the Cordón del Plata and the surrounding mountains.
The tour is suitable for everyone, with no prior experience required, combining adventure with the serenity of the landscape. At SAK Wine & Travel, we promote sustainable tourism and the preservation of Mendoza’s water resources.

Itinerary

What do you need for this tour?
Essential items
We suggest you to bring these items for personal use to make your excursion perfect:
- Small backpack.
- Extra mineral water.
- Personal care items (lip balm with sunscreen, sunscreen, antibacterial gel/wipes, insect repellent).
- Special clothing: comfortable clothing appropriate to the weather forecast and footwear suitable for the activity.
Safety tips: Inform the guide or driver about any illness, allergy or physical restriction. Remember to bring your medication and administration instructions.
Note: The best clothing for mountain activities is wool or synthetic materials in layers, as they dry quickly and keep warmth better. We suggest a base layer, then an intermediate layer, such as a light fleece coat or similar, and then a windproof and waterproof layer.
