Sunset Horseback Riding with asado argentino
In this horseback ride you will enjoy the best views of the Andes immersed in the heart of the mountain, just when the sun disappears behind the snow-capped mountains. An ideal excursion to leave the noise of the city behind and be part of Mendoza’s landscapes.
A SAK vehicle will take us to the mountain with a fun group of tourists. The view will change, the green groves will disappear and when everything is countryside we will find the place to start living this experience.
The horses have the necessary equipment to be safe and to make the ride pleasant. The different types of saddles, the padded saddle pads and the leather reins are essential to control the equine’s gait and to feel the pleasure of getting to know every corner of the Andes at a calm pace. Once mounted, we will begin to enjoy the scenery. You don’t need to be an expert with the reins! Our specialized “baqueanos” will guide us through mountain trails and incredible places.
In the company of tourists from all over the world, we will discover water springs and spot different species of native fauna such as black eagles, condors and foxes. We will also learn about the local flora and its characteristics, among them the “jarilla”, our provincial flower. We will connect with nature riding calm animals that will take us at their own pace.
At sunset, we will return to our starting point where we will enjoy an exquisite traditional “asado” (barbecue). There, the chef will be waiting for us with some local varietals. We will be able to pair the real Argentinian meat with the best of Mendoza wine. But this will not be just another sunset, here we will be able to learn about the customs of our host gauchos and the local people combined with the magic hour of the sunset.
This experience is designed as an activity where we can find harmony with nature and wildlife, fused with the traditional flavors of food cooked over an open fire.
When the sunset arrives, you will be invaded by orange tones, which you will not know if they correspond to the sunset or to the sacred fires of the kitchen.
Our trips are designed so that when you return home you feel that something has changed and we know that sustainable tourism is the way to achieve it. In SAK Wine & Travel we contribute to the Sustainable Development Goal Nº 6: Water, a fundamental resource for Mendoza.
