A rewarding high-Andean trek to Confluencia Base Camp, the first milestone on the route to Aconcagua. Glacial rivers, open valleys, and a powerful mountain setting shape this full-day experience.
Trekking to the Confluencia Camp in Aconcagua Park
If you visit Mendoza, you can’t miss the trek to Confluencia, the base camp of the impressive Aconcagua. In this exclusive tour, you’ll experience what it’s like for those who aim to reach the summit of America. We will depart early from your accommodation to the Aconcagua Provincial Park, passing through mountain villages and the Puente del Inca. From the Valle de Horcones, we will begin a moderately challenging hike, ascending from 2,800 to 3,400 meters above sea level in about four hours.
We will cross stunning landscapes with glacial rivers, natural meadows, and native wildlife. At Confluencia, the first camp of the ascent route, we will enjoy the breathtaking view of Aconcagua and share a lunch before heading back. At SAK Wine & Travel, we promote sustainable tourism, taking care of Mendoza’s water with every trip.

What do you need for this tour?
Essential items
We suggest you to bring these items for personal use to make your excursion perfect:
- Small backpack.
- Extra mineral water.
- Personal care items (lip balm with sunscreen, sunscreen, antibacterial gel/wipes, insect repellent).
- Special clothing: comfortable clothing appropriate to the weather forecast and footwear suitable for the activity.
Safety tips: Inform the guide or driver about any illness, allergy or physical restriction. Remember to bring your medication and administration instructions.
Note: The best clothing for mountain activities is wool or synthetic materials in layers, as they dry quickly and keep warmth better. We suggest a base layer, then an intermediate layer, such as a light fleece coat or similar, and then a windproof and waterproof layer.
