Rafting on the Mendoza River
It is time to let yourself be carried away by the current, feel the energy of the majestic meltwater and surrender to a world of sensations in this Rafting on the Mendoza River.
A little more than forty-five minutes from the city, in the heart of Potrerillos, is the base of operations. Here our expert guides will be anxiously waiting for us to live the challenge.
The first thing to do will be to take the necessary equipment, we have neoprene suits, boots, polar fleeces and raincoats. Then we will learn the indications of the guides, who will teach us paddling techniques and everything related to safety. The waters in which we will navigate are known for their intensity and great sedimentation, which guarantees an extreme adventure in a class III+ river.
When you least expect it, it will be time to put on the helmet, take the paddle and secure the life jacket, there is nothing missing to get into the waters of the Mendoza River!
Once in the boats, we will be able to feel the real connection with this unique natural environment.
During the tour, we will see a magical environment, full of legends that our experienced guides will give us at the right moment of the crossing. The rock waterfall, the labyrinth, the camel’s hump and the condor’s nest are some of the places that will make you feel the adrenaline all over your body.
For a little more than an hour, this tour will make it clear that we can touch the sky with our hands, that the intensity of the rapids will make everything happen slower and that the freshness of the water will fill us with life. This is what this tour is like, full of sensations that will leave you in love with Mendoza.
If you want your photo for Instagram, remember to ask the guide to let you know in advance the time to get to the portrait curve.
At SAK Wine & Travel we want our trips to be a transformative experience for those who visit us and we know that sustainable tourism is the tool to achieve it. That is why in every excursion you do with us you are contributing to the care of Mendoza’s water.
What do you need for this tour?
Essential items
We suggest you to bring these items for personal use to make your excursion perfect:
– Small backpack.
– Mineral water.
– Personal care items (lip balm with sunscreen, sunscreen SPF50, antibacterial gel/wipes, insect repellent).
– Special clothing: hat or cap, sunglasses, comfortable and warm clothing (fleece/sweater, windbreaker), appropriate footwear for the activity.
Note: The best clothing for mountain activities is wool or synthetic materials in layers, as they dry quickly and keep warmth better. We suggest a base layer, then an intermediate layer, such as a light fleece coat or similar, and then a windproof and waterproof layer.
