Bike ride through Mendoza’s vineyards

Visiting the vineyards of the main wine regions of Mendoza and doing it by bicycle is undoubtedly one of the most complete experiences to connect with nature. In this tour through the interior of outstanding wineries, we will be able to get into the exciting world of wine and enjoy the outdoor activity.

In SAK we have selected the best circuits for this visit. We will be able to know the oldest wine region of Mendoza, the cradle of Malbec with its imposing landscapes, guarded by the majestic Andes Mountain Range. Depending on the time of the year, we will be able to cross the trails of the tractors and accompany the harvest trucks on their way through the vineyards.

Early in the morning we will start the tour with our exclusive driver, who will pick us up at the hotel to begin this adventure. Then we will head to the selected winery, where our experienced host guide will be waiting for us with the necessary technical equipment to ride the bicycles. Here we will learn about all the safety elements and the itinerary of a day full of nature next to the emblematic vineyards of the region. 

Once we start pedaling, we will go through the plantations and their different varietals, we will learn about the care of the vine, observing irrigation systems and protection for hail storms. We will be able to reach the water reservoirs of each farm, where it will be possible to understand the effort and ingenuity of teamwork.

This tour, which lasts almost eight hours, will be a complete sensory journey. For this, an intimate tasting tour of the winery awaits us, where we will also learn about its history, harvesting, storage and production methods. We will be able to enjoy different activities in the gardens. If the season allows it, we will get to experience some of the grape harvest in the vineyards, observing the work of the vineyard workers along the rows and all the secrets of manual harvesting. Undoubtedly we will have an afternoon full of learning and entertainment around the world of wine. 

To end this day, it will be time to pair an exquisite regional lunch, where we will taste the typical “asado criollo” with the best varietals of the winery. This is an experience designed to combine all the flavors of our land with the calm and enjoyment of a bike ride.
