The Rock Climbing tour in Potrerillos is one of the most intense experiences you can live. From this magnificent point, immersed in an environment surrounded by nature, we will be able to appreciate the peaks of the Cordón del Plata, which is a must for lovers of high mountain sports.

Early in the morning, we will take National Route 7 to Potrerillos. A transfer will take us as a group to begin this experience in the Andes Mountain Range. After a forty-five minute drive, we will arrive at the base of the Paredes del Ferrocarril, where the best cracks will be waiting for us to live a day full of excitement.

Before starting the ascent, our expert guide will give us a brief introduction to rock climbing. We will familiarize ourselves with the equipment, which is composed of: climbing shoes, helmet, harness, ropes and safety carabiners. Then we will receive a safety talk and learn about the specific objectives of the activity, along with the details of each route we will challenge. With walls ranging between 20 and 30 meters high, the peaks and trails of this experience are adapted to the demands of each athlete.

The complete activity will last approximately eight hours, where in addition to the ascents we will have healthy snacks, assistance from the SAK team, water, food and fruits.

This tour is designed for beginners as well as for expert climbers, according to the objectives and goals of each adventurous spirit. The connection with this imposing place and the silence of its corners, make this outing a unique moment to connect with the most picturesque of the Andes Mountains.

At the end of the afternoon, it will be time to pick up the equipment and start the return to the city. Undoubtedly, after having accepted the challenge of this experience and being aware of the magical environment that surrounds you, the feeling of being at the top will stay with you for a long time.

We suggest you to bring these items for personal use to make your excursion perfect:

– Small backpack.

– Mineral water.

– Personal care items (lip balm with sunscreen, sunscreen SPF50, antibacterial gel/wipes, insect repellent).

– Special clothing: hat or cap, sunglasses, comfortable and warm clothing (fleece/sweater, windbreaker), appropriate footwear for the activity.

Note: The best clothing for mountain activities is wool or synthetic materials in layers, as they dry quickly and keep warmth better. We suggest a base layer, then an intermediate layer, such as a light fleece coat or similar, and then a windproof and waterproof layer.

Safety tips: Inform the guide or driver of any illnesses, allergies or physical restrictions. Remember to bring your medication and administration instructions.
