Mendoza wine country
Luján de Cuyo is where most first trips to Mendoza start: classic Malbec country, 20 to 40 minutes south of Mendoza City, with the Andes right behind the vines. It holds Argentina's first Denomination of Origin and a mix of century-old family cellars and landmark wineries in Agrelo, Perdriel, Vistalba and Chacras de Coria.
Below are the 27 Luján de Cuyo wineries we work with, sorted by subzone, with how far each one is from the city. When you know which ones you want to see, our Luján de Cuyo wine tours page has every route.

Chacras de Coria and Vistalba are 15 to 25 minutes away. Agrelo and Perdriel, where many of the landmark wineries are, take 30 to 40 minutes. That is why Luján works well for a full day of three wineries with lunch.
Two or three. With three visits we plan a tasting in the morning, a pairing lunch at the second winery and a shorter visit in the afternoon. More than three leaves little time to enjoy each one.
Luján is closer and has the classic Malbec houses; Uco Valley is higher, newer and more scenic, but it is 1.5 hours away. With two days, do one of each. With one, choose Luján, or a combined tour with one winery in each region.
Yes. Most Luján de Cuyo wineries only take visits by reservation, and lunch seats go fast in high season (February to April). We book every visit and lunch for you when you confirm the tour.
Lunch is one of the best reasons to visit Luján: several wineries in Agrelo, Perdriel and Chacras de Coria serve long pairing lunches with views of the vineyards. We list them by region in our winery lunch guide, and we book the table for you.
