Jean Rivier arrived from Switzerland and founded his winery in San Rafael in 1956. The family calls itself viticultores criadores: it vinifies only its own grapes, which is increasingly rare and explains the profile of these wines better than any brochure.
The guided tour takes about forty minutes and covers the vineyards, the crushing floor, fermentation and the cellars, closing with a tasting.
It stands on Avenida Hipolito Yrigoyen 2385, which makes it one of the few wineries in San Rafael you can reach on foot from the centre.
