Bodega Labiano makes wine in Rama Caida, on the edge of San Rafael, and is one of the most visited wineries in the area for a reason that has little to do with wine: its Fountain of Wine, a monumental fountain crowned by a statue of Actea, the nymph of a Greek legend about Laertes, Dionysus and a spring that turns into wine.
Worth saying before anyone asks: the fountain circulates water with colouring, not wine, because wine exposed to the air would oxidise within hours.
The winery tour itself is free and is booked in advance.
